THE HOHENECK COMPLEX (2020)

150 years ago, a castle in the Erzgebirge mountains, whose roots date back to the Middle Ages, was converted into a prison. When many decades later a socialist state was established in this part of the country, thousands of prisoners landed here whom this state had declared to be its enemies. They were all women. The secret service and the judicial authorities locked them up with murderers and other criminals. Officially, they were to be re-educated. Secretly, however, they were forced to work. They were to bring millions to the country that had condemned them as traitors.
